Just the 5 features I need

Perfect for simple calls and texting:1. CALL QUALITY: The volume on my other phone was too low. This phone is perfect for me when I set the volume level to 6 out of 8. It seems to have a better voice quality, too (higher and lower pitches come across), probably because it has a larger speaker than a flip phone. (A separate volume control lets you set a very loud ringer, too.) No complaints about my voice from the person on the other end.2. RECEPTION: 4 to 5 bars in my whole house (vs. 1 to 3 bars for my other phone). Bigger antenna, I guess. The display of the number of reception bars is large and easy to read (as is the display of the battery charge, which has lasted five days so far).3. TEXTING: Easy and intuitive. The English setting allows you to just press each key once, and it usually figures out the right word.4. FITS IN MY POCKET: Size is about 4.0" by 2.0" by 0.5". Small, but feels rugged.5. NO DAMNED INTERNET: I get plenty of internet in my job. I don't want it on my damned phone.DOWNSIDES: No vibration mode (though there is a silent mode, in which it lights up when a call or text arrives). You can set only one alarm at a time.Carrier: I just popped in my ATT sim card, and the phone worked right away.

Good phone-Terrible Customer Service

I purchased this phone for my 90 year old father. It is easy for him to use, hear and see. A week after owning the phone the back cover fell off and he couldn't find it. I called Just5 to purchase a replacement. I got an answering service that takes a message and says Just5 will contact me. Well I have been leaving messages for 3 weeks, and sending emails as well, and nobody has contacted me. One operator told me she had contacted them and they will send out a replacement part. I'm still waiting. I gave the phone a 3-star review because it is what they advertise. I give the company zero stars for their terrible customer service.

I purchased qty#2 of these phones. One was for my elderly mother, the other was for me and it's an easy purchase to recommend. These phones come with a Just5/Jolt Mobile SIM card and the registration was easy. If you create an account on Jolt Mobile's website you can add minutes as you like..$10/100 minutes,$20/200 minutes,$30/300 minutes plan (minutes last for 90 days)or unlimited for $40/monthly. They also offer a $50/500 minutes for 180 days and a $100/1000 minutes plan for 365 days.Purchasers have to show some basic insight when it comes to the customer service that a smaller cell phone/service provider has when comparing it to the `big boys' like AT&T,Verizon and so on. I actually went with AT&T originally as my cell service provider(had the 'go plan' with AT&T and the SIM that comes with the plan), however AT&T charged for ridiculous things so even though they have top class customer service, they proved too expensive so I switched back to the Just5 SIM, registered with Just5/Jolt Mobile and have been with them since.The big buttons are great, they are back-lit and the phone has a built in flashlight that I have used more than I thought I would. It's otherwise a no 'frills' phone, ok except the fm radio built in. I haven't added a headset yet, but I am thinking about it so I cannot comment on that aspect of the phone.
