Just a phone

Bought this for my 11 year old iPhone breaking daughter. I used to care about her having the latest greatest as she has been a hard working student and a great help around the house. But breaking the iPhone by means of, "I don't know." was unacceptable. So rather than give her a new one she got this. And really she should never had anything else. This does not have the nice texting features of a smart phone but it does work. The world clock is neat. The keyboard is backlit which was a nice plus. The message tones and ring tones were a source of happy for the kid. The camera is absolutely useless. Even in bright light under the best circumstances it takes lousy grainy pictures. Don't bother.Overall, this is simply a phone that can message quick enough. To dial a number it is more cumbersome as there is not separate numerical keys and of course no touch screen. For the money you are getting what you expect. This is perfect for an accident prone kid. It is also good to tide you over until you can save money for something better.The box this thing comes in is tiny. In fact it was laughably small

Not good for me...

No, it did not meet my expectations. I will be trying to use it in Africa this summer and I'm sure that I will not bring it back. It's too small and difficult to use.

"tide-you-over" phone

While this phone does have a camera, the phone cannot receive a picture. Another limitation we found is that if you are sending out text to more than one person, THIS phone will not receive it. For example, if I send a text to both of my daughters, one will get it just fine (better phone) the other (with this phone) will get some gibberish garbage. I have to send a text special to her.You can't even imagine how small this phone is - though the keys are as small as the phone she was replacing, so that creates no extra sacrifice, but if your fingers aren't extra small, don't get this phone.I guess I will call this a "tide you over" phone. It's good enough, short term until you can get something better.
