LG VX8560 Chocolate Phone Review

I ordered this phone to replace an identical one that I had used for four years. I am old school so I only needed a phone with a camera, voice mail, and occasional texting. This phone is exactly what I had before and I am happy with the vendor. The phone came with a 110 volt charger for about $50. I have purchased a replacement OEM battery for about $6.00 at Amazon. This flip-phone has a calendar, calculator, alarms (3), and you can download music. The main display is much larger than the outside display. There is a Micro-SD slot for storing photos and music.

This phone was purchased as a replacement for the same model which my son managed to accidentally wash. We went and looked at new phones but honestly the currently flip models don't begin to compare to this older but better model. Most of us realize that everyone is sort of expected to have a smart phone these days however, this phone is plenty smart enough for a high school aged boy who does not need to receive email or be on FB 24/7.

it's only a phone

i loved my lg chocolate flip phone and when it broke i sought to replace it. no longer available through verizon, i found a new one through a top seller at amazon. shipped fast and in brand new condition. however.. upon activation i learned that the software for this model is no longer supported by verizon. i am not able to utilize mobile web, transfer phone numbers, download ringtones or music.in short.. it is just a phone (with the annoying ringtones verizon installs).my advice would be to check with your carrier regarding a discontinued model before replacing an old favorite.
