The phone has some exceptional multimedia features for a basic phone buta micro sd card is required to use most of the multimedia features.Volume seems OK. Battery life is better than average. The challenge withthis phone is the lack of instructions on setting up and using it. There is aninteractive guide on at least one of the amazon pages for a similar model butthe guide has had technical issues and at the time of this review has vanishedfrom the page I had saved in my wish list. Hopefully someone may find the followinguser guide helpful.Using the BLU Jenny T172iImportant buttons: center input button with left, right, up, down scrolling. soft keys - are above the answer and end call keys.Turn on/off: press and hold the end call key - release when on or off.Menu: shortcut press left soft key.Phone book: shortcut press right soft key.Flashlight on/off: shortcut press and hold center input button - release when on or off.Change language: press left soft key - scroll down to settings (wrench symbol) - scroll down to option 4 phone settings (Spanish/Portugues Configuracion del telefono) - scroll to option 2 language (Spanish/Portugues Idiorna) press center input button - scroll to English - Press center input button or OK.Speaker phone : press right soft key on - press right soft key again off.Vibrate on/off: press and hold # key (lower right corner).Lock keys: at home screen press and release center input button - then quickly press * key (lower left corner) a key symbol appears on screen. Good Basic Cell Phone-Very Basic

I bought this phone, because I just needed a basic cell phone to replace one that got dropped and broken. I have T-Mobile and all I had to do was put my SIM card in this phone and it was good to go. It is a very basic phone, but that was all I needed. I don't use any fancy features. It only has one ringtone. I couldn't find how to adjust the ringer volume, so I emailed Blu from their website and they replied right away...you adjust the ringer volume by going to: Menu, then Settings, then Profile, then General, then Option, then Customize, then Ringer Volume.It came with a basic manual and it also came with a battery and battery charger. My ear buds wouldn't work with it though, because the phone has a USB style plug-in. Perhaps I could use an adaptor or something, but I have no idea about that stuff. But, it does have speaker phone, so you can still talk hands-free.FYI: This phone has places for two SIM cards. I only use one SIM card. On the screen, there is the status for each SIM card space; it will have the name of your mobile carrier for the one your SIM card is in and if the other SIM card holder is empty, it will always say insert SIM card, which can just be ignored.

Phone not too bad, support does not exist

I bought the phone because of its dual SIM capability for European use and it seems OK for that. The user'a manual is practically useless but if you are a little acquainted with a cell phone, you can eventually figure most things out. Biggest problem I have with using it is related to Bluetooth. It pairs fine but it will not automatically connect. Instead, it asks if you want to connect and you have to push "yes" for the connection to be completed. Not too good when you want to keep it in your pocket when you get in your car.I had some questions about using the phone, including the Bluetooth problem, and I sent 2 emails to Blu several days ago. I have received no response, not even an acknowledgement that they were received.Although I will keep it for its dual SIM capability in Europe, for regular use at home, I will use something else.
